Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal: Part 1: A Sudden Veldin Home Invasion!
6And just when Insomniac hit a huge stride with how well Ratchet & Clank's first sequel did, the threequel did EVEN BETTER!
Like with Jak 3, this wasn't the last R&C game on the PS2, but it did still made sure it felt very conclusive (and unlike Jak & Daxter sadly, it got to live a much longer and greater life past the PS2...).
This game also has the most vulgar subtitle to name its sequel with, especially if you're European.
I had initially starting recording this playthrough shortly after completing my playthrough of Going Commando. But I somehow lost time to actually work on it thoroughly compared to other projects. I decided to do it all over again, and this time through a different method.

So here's how the story of this threequel begins:
Still in the Bogon Galaxy and within Megapolis of Planet Endako, Ratchet, now in a modified Commando suit, was playing a strategy game with Clank involving some creatures from their home galaxy of Solana.
Sometime after that whole Protopet incident, Clank became a huge star, leading the role of a show called "Secret Agent Clank". Through his slick tricks, he easily takes down a crime boss to the sight of some alluring robo ladies.
...and Ratchet was cast as his chauffeur, Jeeves. He clearly didn't like the role. Hopefully it paid him well (but clearly not as well as Clank!).
Afterwards, the duo watched a news cast... from all the way to the Solana Galaxy! Ratchet's home planet of Veldin was under attack by a new alien force called the Tyhrranoids, all led by an evil robot called Dr. Nefarious!
At present, the heroic robot force called the Galactic Rangers were fighting back against these aliens, but for who knows how long they can hold out against them!
Without wasting anymore time, Ratchet decided that it was time to go home and save his planet. AGAIN!
To help them go from the Bogon Galaxy back to the Solana Galaxy, Ratchet installed a gravimetric warp drive into his ship. Clank had doubts it would work, but he was quickly proven wrong.

Ratchet this has his fully-upgraded Omniwrench. This is his only weapon, but that quickly changes in a few seconds.
Ratchet & Clank meet the Galactic Rangers. They hand them their first new weapon: Shock Blast. Another one further ahead gives him a more destructive Nitro Launcher.
Almost every weapon in this game can be upgraded, again. This time up to 5 times in your first run through this game instead of two. Each of these 5 upgrades will boost your weapons in some way, anything from increased damage, increased ammo, or even further functions. It all varies from weapon to weapon.
Ratchet still also upgrades his Nanotech health from beating enemies, too. It's a much more linear and numerical display, this time.
As for Clank, he still has all three of his eternal Pack forms: Heli-Pack, Thruster-Pack, and the water-exclusive Hydro-Pack.

There will be several points throughout the game where the objective is to help the Galactic Rangers fend off against the enemy. They'll give it their all, despite how cowardly and FRAGILE they can be.
A map in these kind of battles will appear in the bottom-right corner, displaying your sight, and the blue and red dots of your allies and enemies, respectively.

At the end of this planet's course, Ratchet, Clank, and the Galactic Range received a display called from... Galactic President Phyronix!
He was clearly a big fan of Secret Agent Clank, because Clank was the first guy he recognized between the doing. He urged specifically Clank to put an end to Dr. Nefarious'... nefarious plans.
The President has even found the one man that had previously defeated him. He found him somewhere in the Jamboo Forest on Planet Florana... via an episode of "Nature's Mysteries".
Some kind of huge Florana Tree Beast. Naked... and screaming... while holding a banana...
...or was that an actual banana that the local saw...? Uhhhhhh...
Though one thing DID sound familiar: This beast is, or was, one of the greatest superheroes to have ever lived. HMMMMMMMM...
Welp, better check it out!
