You and your superior spaceship are the most important part of the Tech Wise Astro Team. Your mission is to rescue the Universe. A bunch of poor cosmonauts are missing and you must find them all. Visit different planets. Destroy all those nasty outerspace enemies, collect all items and go back to the base.

You always start each level at your base and when all objectives has been fulfilled you go back to the base to get to the next level – You will get a message at the bottom of the screen telling you to go back to the base when everything is cleared.

All cosmonauts has to be rescued and all moving enemies has to be eliminated on all of the levels. Besides this some of the levels also have the objective that you have to land on green ground and move along this to change the color to red.

The enemies will fire at you and you also have to watch out for the cannons that are placed at the side of the screen, these can not be destroyed, and they will retract before firing, so watch their position carefully before trying to get past.

You fly the spaceship by using thrust boosts, you have to use this limited or land on platforms when you have to fly to high places. If you use all of the thrust you will drop to the ground, and staying on the ground will make a full recharge of the thrust. Your thrust bar is at the bottom left of the screen, and it is possible to get power ups for the thrust bar and your fire power. On the bottom right you have the timer as all the levels has a time limit.

Meteors and volcano lava has to be avoided along with the red spikes on the ground. Some of the ground will disappear when you land on it, and the ground with arrows will move you in the direction of the arrows. A lot of different things to learn to deal with and the game also features bonus levels. The game has beeper sfx for 48k machines and AY sfx for 128k machines and features 20 levels.

A quite interesting and different game which has similarities to the old Thrust games, but still has it’s very own style. The graphics and sound is very simple, and does not push any limits, but it plays well and keeps increasing in difficulty, and will give you a good challenge to complete.
