Creative Labs SoundBlaster 2.0 CT1350B playing Silpheed music (credits tune, Adlib mode)
Silpheed is a vertical space shooter developed by Game Arts in 1986 for the japanese PC-8801 - and it was ported to MS-DOS in 1989 (and many other platforms later on).
The game was a big hit and i assume it might have something to do with the great music-tracks and support for multiple sound systens in a time when pc speaker sound was still going strong.
I realy love the tunes of this game, and if you have seen my previous uploads when i present you the tune in CMS mode, today i present the tune in Adlib mode to demonstrate the YM3812 OPL2 FM-synth on my SoundBlaster 2.0.
As always, this is no dos-box-emulation. I recorded the tunre right out of the game, running on my P100-based test bench with MS-DOS 6.2.
So listen and enjoy to the credits tune of Silpheed, and stay tuned for the next release with the intro theme in MT32 mode (MUNT).
