Vandals kept damaging the gate in the Crestview Station neighborhood because they wanted it open for people living in the area to drive through. The City of Austin kept coming out to fix the vandalism, racking up a bill of more than $15,000 in 2021. But a new solution will mean no more gate and no more security problems for neighbors.
