This was a challenge despite just unlocking Costly Punch and boosting my HP using Darkness materia grinding from 6-3-4.

HP boosting seemed necessary to boost my damage both in terms of materia and accessories.

Attacking from behind is a big help.

At 50% ish the support units come out. I tried dodging but it's pretty much impossible so I slotted Tri Thundaga but this burns your MP in one go. Although I used Elixirs, just use ethers (I had run out). Next time I'll bring more and once they're all gone, you can resume your punching. Two more missions until Brutal unlock!
