Well, I've made good progress getting to chapter 5 and 40% missions complete while still at level 6 and no help from the DMW!
What was becoming an increasing problem and a bottleneck for me was not being able to break the damage cap. Enemies on top of one hit killing me would have health in the 6 digits so I needed the brutal accessory or something that could break the damage cap.
The problem was how to get it. 7-4-6 was only two missions away but I faced the following problems:
+ The boss would rampage, allowing it to go nuts and after each rampage it would limit ability kill me for 14k damage while I wasn't even 6k in health.
+ It had 450k or so health so at 10k a hit, you're looking at 45 hits of gravity/punching.
+ I only have 5 phoenix downs and we can't farm them like the PSP version. There's no way I could kill the boss in 6 limit abilities.
BUT.
Something got me thinking why gravity would trigger rampage but not normal attacks. Long story short, any non materia attack (I'm assuming) would not trigger rampage. With blaze armlet to get free heals in case you do get hit (and live) and stacked up on attack buffs, you could 2-3 hit the boss and dodge with almost impunity.
7-4-6 was a cake walk, easier than the 7-4-5 boss, so now I have the ability to 99,999 at least with gravity spells and costly punch over 10k. I was able to then check out this new power by getting a ribbon from 6-6-5 which could come in handy.
