Description:
After the true ending of Gaia's Melody: Echoed Melodies, Akira and her friends settle down in New Tera and try to recover from the trauma of the previous game. Unfortunately, a strange phenomenon is causing the monster population of the town to panic, so the team will have to take up their weapons once more.

Somehow, Earth Cronan got to the shrine without anyone stopping him. He's created a false gate to a world based on his own mind.

The enemies here are illusionary copies of your party members, and if the same party member is currently in the frontlines, they will lose their soul. Though they get their soul back if you use a mirror item or run away.
To activate the warp in the middle, you must solve all the puzzles. Save the chess puzzle to the east for last, since you need to gather the pieces in the other areas first.
In the mirror matching puzzle, you actually need to change Akira to her PJs costume in order to match the illusionary Akira.
When you get to a treasure room with two torches you can interact with, save before doing so, since they will trigger a boss encounter. The encounter isn't visible for some reason.

They will transform into your current party, which could be dangerous if you're using higher tier characters.

You'll have to fight a few of these things in the puzzle where you have to leave a party member behind to step on a switch. Fortunately, they have low defenses despite their high HP.

According to the illusionary Aki and Zephy, Cronan actually feels guilt over his crimes, which is why we keep seeing illusions of his victims.

Strangely, he doesn't spam Stats-Down in this form. Maybe I just got lucky. Plus, I have Doken spamming Omnislash.

Cronan wants to die in this world, but Akira convinces him to face punishment for his crimes in his home world. Also, she knows Nara will be sad if Cronan dies.

Make sure to do everything you can in the village before climbing up the ledge to look for Zephyr. This is your only chance to get Aneka's art.
Zephyr reminisces about the time when he learned about Akira's amnesia. He's sad that Akira no longer remembers their friendship, but decides that it's for the best if she's happy with her new friends.
Tadase wants to challenge Zephyr again, but the dialogue doesn't really acknowledge if the former won the previous match.

Unfortunately, when Akira tries to send the Cronan, Nara, and the Earth refugees through the Gate, Agares kills them all. Why didn't the party consider the fact that a crazy god wannabe is still alive in there?
Akira collapses from the trauma and magic strain of opening the Gate, and she reverts to her original memories as Melody. She also loses most of her stats, making her less meta than everyone else despite being at a high level.
