I realized in the last episode that my map didn't have enough resources to get to end game in any speedy amount of time. I would have had to kill a LOT of biters to clear the way for many outposts to get enough iron ore to finish. I'm also keen on building things at a larger scale. I've been watching a megabase tutorial by Katherineofsky (she does great videos) and it inspired me to try out a megabase. I have peace mode enabled so that biters will only fight back if I attack. I did this because I don't find the combat with biters super interesting and more of an annoyance. But we will kick some biter butt in future episodes as we expand out.

In this episode I do the initial setup of power and build a starter base using a blueprint made by Antielitz. It has red and green science production and also extras for green circuits, inserters and belts.

Next episode I'll rough out the main bus and set up some large smelting arrays to feed the main bus.
