ok so basically I beat this level twice in a row but for the first time I beat it I forgot to set my clip button to record more than 4 minutes. I guess I didn’t really need to uncomplete the level but whatever

Review:

OK SO BASICALLY this level is a masterpiece. mbed made such a cool atmosphere with the song choice and theming. This level really reminds me of Yume Nikki in that you’re navigating different worlds while walking on air and with the weird prominent backgrounds and abstract themes. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if this level was inspired by it. Overall the colours used were surprisingly good throughout the level and all of the ideas were really well executed. I like the nod to lit fuse at the dual ship and ufo, another incredible level praised for its atmosphere and theming. My favourite part of the level has to be the entire last cube; the first part of it is definitely the hardest section in the level which creates a ton of intensity at the end of a 5-minute long journey, and the way the song calms down as you hold the last dash orb after you finish it gives you such an amazing feeling of the end of a journey while you mentally prepare for the final release of the button. Theming and decoration-wise, this is absolutely one of my favourite levels of all time.

I never thought I’d be trying to beat a level with invisible gameplay but here we are. I had a surprisingly fun time learning the level even though it was a bit of a struggle. The megahack v7 hitbox viewer was very helpful for learning the level so it definitely reduced the number of attempts I used. Here are some things I learned in the process!
For the ufo, you just click to the music except it isn’t synced very well and you have to click before the notes happen. I think the spike you jump over at 32% with the single click is a bit further to the right than the other single click spikes relative to the music, so that’s something to watch out for.
At the end of the Lit Fuse type dual, the dash orb is a bit to the right of the last peak in the background, and you release it right after you hit the invisible yellow pads.
For the cube section after the long hold, I just held down the button after sliding a bit but it’s kinda tight and you need to get a feel for the timing. There’s probably an easier setup you can find but I was too lazy to search for another one.
For the robot, a lot of the clicks can be buffered before you land on the specific slopes but it’s mostly a section of spatial awareness.
For the last cube, I just held down the button as much as possible and released it after each orb finished and I also memorized where the orbs of course because it’s another section of spatial awareness.
The timing for releasing the last dash orb is when the last big structure disappears from the screen (on the typical monitor).

I’m happy I decided to play this, it feels super cool to have it completed :)
