Crusader Kings 2: Councillor Button Suggestions
Today I take a step back from playing CKII and I examine it from a bit of a gameplay design perspective. In particular, I suggest adding new councillor buttons (or, at least, making omnipresent certain government-type ones) to help improve the gameplay of CKII. I'm hoping to make a second video where I go into depth about some broader systemic changes I'd like to see, but in particular this video recommends...
- Adding a "reduce threat" assignment to your chancellor.
- Adding an "organize bodyguards" assignment to your marshall.
- Adding, or rather making permanent the culture conversion assignments for Stewards.
- Adding a building sabotage/otherwise sabotaging option for your spymaster to go abroad and wreck havoc on your enemies. (suggestion by TGA Gaming, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqpRqKdwkDOCXUrWe9kOmlg)
- Finally, adding an "Improve education" assignment to your learning-based person because, frankly, it's an interesting way to help create long-term investments in character development.
These ideas would be greatly helped with reforms to Coalitions (AKA Threat) as well as shifts away from Mean Time To Happen (MTTH) and Percentage-based results towards more "fixed" formulae to be proposed in later videos, provided I can wrap my head around the math.
