Crusader Kings 2 OST - In taberna cover (viola da gamba)
For Crusader Kings 2's soundtrack, composer Andreas Waldetoft draw inspiration from 13th century drinking song "In taberna quando sumus". I added a bit more polyphony to it, because why not?
The string instruments you see me playing on this video are a tenor viola da gamba (also called viol), doing the melody line; a bass viol; and a medieval fiddle, all made by traditional Brazilian artisans. On the viols I use gut strings but on the fiddle I'm using modern metal strings.
