Part 2. This game was adorable as hell. It's another game in the same vein as The Legend of Zelda, just with a twist. Instead of getting tools you end up collecting animals and aside from being a companion they also provide the main character with abilities. There aren't dungeons in the traditional sense just areas you explore utilizing you new ability and fighting a boss at the end. The games graphics and presentation are adorable. The controls are fine, but the sword swinging is a bit goofy. You do get health ups from beating bosses and there are green apples scattered around the world that increase your health. The bosses are all unique and not all that challenging. In fact I don't think I died to a boss, but that does not mean that they aren't fun to showdown with. They each have a kind of gimmick and that's always fun in games like these. There also are some real boppers for music tracks here. There is one particular boss track that slaps hard. None of the puzzles are all that difficult to figure out and seem to sometimes be multiple solutions in how you can approach some of them. The game is the right length and does not over stay its welcome. I actually would have loved another boss or two. This is exactly the kind of game I was searching for in my efforts of to find games like Zelda. It's familiar but does enough to separate itself to stand on its own. Enjoy my blind playthrough.
