Cryosleeper and a Mothership! Nanoforge? - Starsector 0.95a Update - Let's Play #25 - Legion XIV 2X
Time to follow the breadcrumbs in Starsector. First a Domain Era Probe leads to a Survey Ship. And that Survey Ship leads to a Mothership, or at least so the theory goes. Question is: with all of the new colony items introduced in the 0.95a update, will we be able to pluck a Nanoforge from the wreckage of a Mothership? In other news, remember when I was looking for the perfect colony location to settle down and grow? And remember how I predicted that all of the nice low hazard planets ended up grouped together on the edge of the map? I hate being right.
Starsector is a game where you get together a squad of spaceships and try to carve your own place out in the stars. Will you turn a profit from trade? Or how about shoot down some pirates to defend a fringe colony? Bounty hunting sound good, or how about becoming a pirate yourself and turning the tables? The galaxy is open to you, just be wary of any AI you might bump into along the way. Although this game is still in Alpha and in deep development, this is one of the greatest games I have ever played and I am very excited it won the viewer's choice selection. The mechanics are deep. The lore is interesting. And once you get your feet wet there are all sorts of mods out there to play with.
The only changes from vanilla is that I went into the settings and changed the maximum deployment points from 400 to 700 and to change the settings so the screen doesn't white out when I blow up a big ship.
