I'd love to live and let live with the Pirates, but Starsector is not having any of it. Desperate for cash, I'm out on the edges of the map fulfilling contracts when suddenly who shows up but a big, bad Pirate fleet. Apparently now with Apogees, which I'm not sure is a 0.95a thing or something that happened as a result of a sale I made (or more likely, from an earlier game Pirate raid on TT). Still, dealing with them is only part of the picture, I have to navigate big systems, hostile fleets, and find out just how many ships I can mothball before things get out of hand.

Starsector is a game where you get together a squad of spaceships and try to carve your own place out in the stars. Will you turn a profit from trade? Or how about shoot down some pirates to defend a fringe colony? Bounty hunting sound good, or how about becoming a pirate yourself and turning the tables? The galaxy is open to you, just be wary of any AI you might bump into along the way. Although this game is still in Alpha and in deep development, this is one of the greatest games I have ever played and I am very excited it won the viewer's choice selection. The mechanics are deep. The lore is interesting. And once you get your feet wet there are all sorts of mods out there to play with.

This episode marks the first change from Vanilla, where I have changed the maximum fleet deployment points available from 400 (the decreased 0.95a update limit) to 700. I'm welcome to discuss in the comments if this should be a different number, but I'm a fan of big space battles and always saw the fleet deployment limit more of a "can my system run this" issue than anything having to do with game balancing. But I'm open to suggestions.
