Crypt of the necrodancer - All characters (no amp) Clear!
0So this is every non dlc character back to back deathless, this took around 30 hours from my aria low% clear to this, most of it wasn't spent grinding this but rather playing enough bolt so that double tempo doesn't completely screw me over, each character rundown can be found below, but overall very happy with this run and likely the end of my necrodancer journey.
Aria: took a few hits, glad i went with hit protection, also boots of lunging came in clutch af, other than that pretty solid run, never lost potion so the run felt good mentally.
Bolt: felt sloppy gameplay wise even though it was fine tbh, i just dislike how inconsistent i am at double tempo ): good setup kept me comfortable throughout the run, so alls well ends well.
Monk: extremely good run, got setup very early, played a little risky regarding avoiding gold but my muscle memory to avoid it was at full force, prolly my best monk run to date.
Dove: scary, didn't spot the food shop in zone 3 mid run, could've taken some of the nerves off me, got a little clustered up in zone 4 but thank god for plate armor.
Eli: safe and sound, fucked up the leprechaun and some bosses didn't really know what i was doing, but was never in peril at all.
Melody: REVENGE, this character was my pb prior to this about 12 hours before this run, died in 1-2 to a minotaur so you can imagine my nerves when i saw another 1-2 minotaur, luckily kept my composure and all went well, made a bit of a hash out of the necrodancer 2 fight, but still completely fine tbh.
Dorian: oh fucking lord this was bad, tonnes of sloppy hits, got put into peril against a mommy in 4-3, just not a very clean run, god bless blood + crown of thorns.
Cadence: a pretty bog standard run, loads of obsidian, had a potentially run ending mistake in 1-3 thank god the monkey didn't punish me, rest of the run was fine, took it very slow during necrodancer fight, and things went extremely smooth.
Bard: the absolute highlight of the run, the green bat you see in this run is my 4th one in only 110 hours of gameplay, i was in complete shock when i noticed it, and poetically i get a lucky charm from it too, was never ever in any major danger and just gave me a very nice victory lap!
Overall, im happy with this, its not perfect, i had my ups and downs but im pleased to have been able to unlock coda and get the polyamorous achievement! however i have no further plans for anything within the game, im not a big fan of amp as a whole so all chars amp is of no interest to me, and i think double tempo shouldn't even be in the game so coda is a nono, but to necrodancer i bid you adieu!
