This is on an old version of the mod! There has been gameplay changes since. I've released a new video, showcasing how the character is played in newer versions.

Walton, a new playable character for Tasty's Additions, my Crypt of the Necrodancer mod! Walton has a evolving robotic ally. As the robot kills things, it will automatically evolve to it's next stage. Optimally you'll need to pay attention to both the robot and yourself at once, to teleport the robot out of danger if necessary. In later evolutions, you can even leave the robot alone more, as it will clear out enemies nicely for you.

Remember that both DLC, Amplified and Synchrony are required to play:
