I'm slowly becoming more interested in the actual gameplay of Crysis 1. In particular, the flexibility offered by the destructible environments as well as the enemy AI's capability to outflank and coordinate attacks are things I really enjoy about the game.

Even more important than that, though, is the ease at which the player can re-cloak after having been spotted by enemies. My major gripe with action games which have optional stealth elements is that being spotted even once usually makes it well nigh impossible to resume any sneaking activities, thus forcing the player to choose between the extremes of a perfect stealth performance or an all-out assault. In Crysis 1, simply staying out of sight for a comparatively short amount of time and restarting the cloaking ability is often enough to get back into sneaking around again. While it decreases the difficulty of the game substantially, I also feel this element solves the problem which most stealth-enabled games have of being unnecessarily punishing and including far too much trial-and-error.
