What is traceray / trace line?
Trace line is a function which takes two positions in 3d space and discovers if there is a collision in between them. It does this by drawing a virtual line from the source to the destination and on each specific increment it detects if a collision with another object has been detected.

A couple weeks ago we made a video how to find traceline in assaultcube and how to call it using inline assembly. This video is gonna be the same thing but in CSGO. So trace line is a function that takes two spaces in two positions in 3D space, and draws a line between them and walks across that line and tries to detect a collision. So trace line detects collisions between two locations. It'll return the entity that it collides with so we are gonna find that in csgo. In the previous video you will have learned that every game has 5 to 15 different functions that all perform this functionality. CSGO is no different.
There is a class called EngineTrace which has several different traceray functions.
