A new operation has begun for Counter Strike: Global Offensive.
The new release, named Operation Riptide, will feature new maps, an overhauled mission system, and a new spin on classic game modes.
An exciting new change will allow for shorter competitive matches. Until now, competitive games ran until a team won 16 rounds, or until 30 rounds had been played, which could take up to 90 minutes.
The new, shorter, competitive will run until a team wins 9 rounds, allowing for more flexibility for players who might be pressed for time.
A new riot shield has also been introduced; time will tell how this influences gameplay.
As always with a new operation, a plethora of new skins have been introduced, from Desert Eagles to AK-47, to the M4A4 or the Glock, there is something for everyone, regardless of your weapon of choice.
A major change to the iconic Dust II, means that terrorists will no longer have visibility on mid from their starting point.
Will you be playing Operation Riptide?
