Cupra’s Electric 2024 Tavascan Debuts - First look
Cupra’s Electric 2024 #Tavascan Debuts As An ID.5 With Spanish Flair
The new Cupra Tavascan is fully electric. It will be built in China and will be released in Europe in 2024 and Australia in 2025. It uses the MEB platform and can use RWD or AWD motor options with up to 250kW power (335 hp). Driving range is up to 550km for the RWD, and 520km for the AWD.
The Chinese-made EV will be offered with all-wheel drive and up to 335 hp.
Cupra’s electrification push is taking a big step forward with the unveiling of the electric Tavascan crossover. Designed and developed in Barcelona, the model was previewed by a concept in 2019 and is being billed as the “hero of a new era.” Speaking of which, the model ushers in a new design language that will soon spread to other vehicles.
While #Cupra says the Tavascan has an “intimidating and mysterious look,” that’s stretching things a bit. Instead, it has a performance-focused aesthetic with a shark nose front fascia and a black lower section.
