“Several bags” of human remains found on the Seattle shoreline have sparked an investigation.

Authorities were responding to a report about a “suspicious bag” that washed up in the West Seattle area when they made the gruesome discovery on Thursday.

According to KOMO, the tipster was concerned about a foul smell coming from the bag, found at a park along Elliott Bay.

A second bag was later discovered in the water, authorities said in a press release on Friday.
