Curse Rotted Greatwood S6 Pt2 Let's Play Dark Souls 3
4This boss fight is a bit backwards in my opinion, the first phase seems to be the more difficult of the 2. I say that because there are a lot of extra enemies in this phase in addition to the boss. The problem is to move the fight forward and destroy the adds you have to destroy the bumps on the trees stomach, which can be tricky with a bunch of adds. I'd recommend being aggressive because once the second phase starts it's a lot easier, more annoying but easier.
The second phase gets rid of the adds, which makes it a lot easier. The Curse Rotted Greatwood gets a bit more aggressive as a result of being alone, but most of it's attacks are easily dodged. The big attack to look out for is the spin attack. The spin attack does a ton of damage so after you swing once at it's stomach pustules, I'd recommend backing up.
It also has an acid attack, it slows you down and I'm assuming damages equipment. To clarify I've been caught in it for long periods. Have yet to have something break but it does hurt slightly, so swinging while sitting in it is not the worst thing to do.. just be prepared to throw up a repair powder if you want to really roll the dice.
