Steps to creating a 3D style in World of Tanks:
- Open Tank Exporter and extract the tank in question to res_mods and create a FBX file. 0:01:27
- Convert the FBX file to 2013 using an FBX converter. 0:07:48
- Model the tank how you wish, then export as FBX when done.
- Convert the FBX file to 2009 using an FBX converter.
- Import to Tank Exporter and write primatives. 0:23:27
- Assign model textures in the visual_processed using the XML editor. 0:25:22
- When satisfied, copy all the visual_processed files in lod0 to lod1, 2, 3 and 4. 0:59:00
- Play a pub to ensure the model works correctly.
- If the gun breaks (1:10:23) or some parts of the model are dark (0:56:56), fix them.
- Once all issues are resolved, convert the res_mods into .wotmod. 1:08:45
Make sure to delete/rename the res_mods' tank folder name to something else so the res_mods and .wotmod don't conflict (res_mods takes priority.)

FAQ:
- Tank Exporter Doesn't work/crashes and I don't know why
Tank exporter is a custom program made by a single guy, so it is buggy by nature, especialy with AMD GPUs. If you are having trouble you can contact the creator through his GitHub page.

- The tank I'm looking for does not appear on Tank Exporter, what should I do.
This can happen, not all tanks are displayed. Pick any tank as a placeholder, extract the normal folder of the tank you want straight from the res, transfer the normal folder into the placeholder tank model in (in res_mods) that way when you load up the placeholder tank, it loads the model from the tank you want.

- The models I added to my tank are not displaying.
If the models were added to the gun, this can happen. The gun model is strange and often will not display models that were not originally made for the gun. There's no way around this that I've found. If the model is not displaying on the turret or hull, check the .visual_processed file if it's section is present. Note that by default models have between 1 to 2 privative groups ID (PG_ID) groups. The first one is usually the hull/turret and if there is a second one, it's additional equipment. Every model on the tank should have it's own privative group ID. So lets say a tank by default has 2 PG_IDs and you added lets say, 3 models, to the hull. In total there should be 7 groups. If there is less, copy and paste a primativeGroup and change it's PG_ID so that there is.

- I can't find the texture used for a model I am using.
Some textures in World of Tanks are not located in the tank's folder (inside the vehicles_level_##_part#.pkg) but instead in the shared content (shared_content-part#.pkg) For example, the IS-7, IS-4, Obj. 277 & ST-II all have skins that use the same ZPU anti aircraft gun and so the textures for that gun is not located in any of those tank's folders. The easiest solution is to extract EVERY .pkg file into one folder, as I did at 0:27:26, that way you can search through the entire game for the file.

- The model's texture looks dark or low quality.
Did you change the visual_processed path? 0:25:22
Is the model inside out? 0:34:23
Is the AO file corrupted? 0:56:56
If none of these fix your issue, the most likely cause is one of that paths in the visual_processed file is incorrect. This is usually the case for me, if the AM file is correct but any other isn't (GMM, AMN, AO) will have a bright red "missing texture" used. It would be quite evident on the AM file since the AM files shows the pixels 1 to 1, but if the GMM, AMN and/or AO file are bright red, the model will appear dark and gritty.

- When I zoom out the model becomes dark or red.
Copy the visual_processed to all LODs 0:59:00
