Custom kernels| FPS meter for Android and how to use franko kernel manager effectively
15In this video I have explained whether what custom kernels are! I have explained the factors by which they affect your device's performance, in different aspects. Actually, a kernel is the part of the operating system of your device, which is said to be responsible for establishing the communication between the software and the hardware. And the custom kernels are the kernels which are modified by different developers for achieving different purposes and goals.
Then comes the thing that what a kernel manager is, actually the kernel manager is nothing but it helps you to configure huge number of things like the frequencies of different core clusters, the governors of those clusters, it gives you details about your battery and its health, some even allows you to monitor the charging, control the frequencies and the governors of your GPU, and much much more than this and if I will mention everything here then the description will get really long.
Actually most of the ROMs today are based on Android 12, and Google already have integrated the fps metre with Android 12 so by default you get the option to monitor the frame rates while you're gaming, but on the Roms which you do not get the fps metre, you can use this application in order to monitor which CPU core is running at what frequency (you can do the same in clusters as well), and then comes the best part, you get the functionality of monitoring the frame rates with this thing.
