This video of mine is regarding what are the advantages of rooting your phone!
I have explained the innumerable of ways to speedup your smartphone.
Whether you debloat your phone,
Install a custom ROM,
Overclock your phone,
Edit the boot image,
shorten the boot duration (there're many ways to do so),
flash the modules or kernels which will take care about the thermals,
there are lsposed modules for same as well!

The ways how you can increase the battery life
Debloating helps here as well,
You can monitor the apps and processes chewing up your phones resources in a much better manner,
you can choose the apps to run or not (all permanent or temporary basis, everything's your choice)
you can install much simpler custom ROMs,
you can choose the kernel that would help you prevent the heavy drainage of your battery,
