In the past few months, we've had multiple rumours about the announcement of a project updating StarCraft Broodwar, called Broodwar HD or Broodwar Remastered.

The rumours started before Blizzcon, with news sites picking the story up and spreading the idea that Blizzard would announce remastered versions of StarCraft Broodwar, Diablo 2, and Warcraft 3. Of course no such announcements were made at Blizzcon 2016.

Now, in March of 2017, rumours have been flying once more that BW:HD will be announced at the GSL Season 1 2017 finals. News publication 'Sports Seoul' has published an article saying that a select group of BW esports industry insiders were pulled aside at Blizzcon to be made aware of the project. The article claims that Broodwar Remastered will be released in May or June of 2017.

I don't believe that BW:HD will be announced at the GSL Finals this weekend. In this video, I outline why (and make a playful bet with my fans).
