Cybermercs: The Soldiers of the 22nd Century is a top down action game with light RPG elements. The atmosphere is very immersive, inspired by the Alien series, with a post-apocalyptic dark sci-fi theme that includes horror elements. The female AI voice is unique. and the sound design and music is phenomenal.
The game is actually fairly tough, so good planning is a must. You have a limited inventory carry-weight, so balancing weapons, armour, ammo, and healing kits can be a tricky endeavour, especially if you want to pick up loot you find during missions. There are 15 missions in total, and this video covers the first five.
Unfortunately, the combat is fairly clunky. It's incredibly easy to miss, difficult at times to aim, and the way some weapons are hitscan, and others are not, only provides further confusion.
