Today on Tech's Interceptor, Cyberpunk 2077 finally returns to the Playstation Store, after a little bit time.
About six months ago, exactly on December 10, 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 was released with very high expectations from the players. In development, however, something went very wrong with the old gen versions, especially with the Playstation 4 version.
The game, in fact, was very far from being playable. Immediately, for this reason, Cyberpunk 2077 was immediately removed from the PlayStation Store.
A few days ago, several users, months after the release and subsequent retirement, saw the possibility in the Playstation Store to re-insert Cyberpunk 2077 in the wish list.
Now, thanks to IGN, Sony has confirmed the return of Cyberpunk 2077 in the store which will be available for purchase starting next week, precisely from 21 June 2021.
These are the words of the Sony press release:
"SIE can confirm that Cyberpunk 2077 will be re-listed on PlayStation Store starting June 21, 2021. Users will continue to experience performance issues with the PS4 edition while CD Projekt Red continues to improve stability across all platforms. SIE recommends playing the title on PS4 Pro or PS5 for the best experience. "
In short, Sony with this reinstatement seems to reward the progress made by the Polish studio, but at the same time recommends playing the PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4 Pro versions, warning players who want to play the basic PlayStation 4 version to still expect performance problems.
In this regard, on the return of the title in the Playstation Store, CD Projekt red has issued only a very meager press release that consists of a few lines. It seems as if Cd Projeck Red does not want to let it be known, especially after the shame caused by the PlayStation version.
