Gigabyte Aorus Gen4 7000s Prem SSD | This thing is also a NVME SSD!
GIGABYTE has introduced a new high performance NVME SSD: the AORUS Gen4 7000s Prem. SSD.

At first glance it is clear that it is something exaggerated; indeed Gigabyte has equipped this SSd with an enormous passive thermal heatsink.
The cooling solution measures around 40 millimiters in height, and is made of a main part that is direct contact with the SSD, connected with two heatpipes, to a big finstack heatsink.
To ensure the maximum possible thermal performance, all the system has been coated with a Nanocabon coating, and is put in contact with the SSD with a High Thermal Conductivity Pad.
This way, according to Gigabyte, the AORUS Gen4 7000s Prem. SSD should maintain low temperatures and high performance even in situations with minimal airflow, even in long lasting operation.
Under the heatsink we find the SSD; it adopts the PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 interface and features the latest Phison E18 PS5018-E18 8-channel controller, external DDR4 cache and 3D TLC NAND Flash.
The AORUS Gen4 7000s Prem. provides top random access rate performance, featuring read speed up to 7 GB/s and write speed up to 6.85 GB/s.
Through the SSD Tool Box application you can have full control of the SSD Status and various aspects such as model name, FW version, health condition and sensor temperature. You can also easily clear all the data with the Secure Erase function.
This SSD is compatible with all the motherboards with 2280 NVMe M.2 interface design.
But, to exploit all the performance Gigabyte recommends, AMD X570 / B550 motherboards or Intel Z590 / B560 / Z490 / H470 motherboards with next-gen Intel Core processors.
The AORUS Gen4 7000s Prem. SSD is already available on the market in 1TB and 2TB variants and comes with 5 years warranty service.
