33Do you need an SSD to play Cyberpunk 2077? (or any game) Nopers. But Guildie, how rubbish would it be on a HDD? Let's find out ourselves!
Running an old HDD from 2013 via USB 3.2 we can see if max crowd density will result in loading of really low LOD characters and cars. However, this never happens. In fact, the HDD rarely hits 100% drive utilization walking around this densely populated city.
Settings are shown at the end of the video, if you want to see what I have set up. It's mostly Maxed out (no psycho modes), RT but with DLSS.
Keep in mind the FPS is impacted by my recording software. Cyberpunk is very demanding and even without recording my play it eats my CPU up. I get better FPS without recording.
