Nerdarchist Ted and I dive into the Cypher System a generic role-playing game designed by Monte Cook and his tabletop role-playing game publishing company Monte Cook Games. The Cypher System rule book can handle any genre of play from Sci-Fi to Fantasy to horror. This tabletop rpg has a very rules light game design. So if you are into a crunch and rule heavy style of play this will not be for you. We are currently running a Shadow Run campaign setting powered by the Cypher System game engine. We've also have done a modified version of Cypher System to run Star Wars vs Star Trek in a PvP style game.
