In a near dystopian, post apocalyptic world, pilots are assigned Arsenals, highly advanced battle mecha with the sole purpose of defending the Oval Territory. The threat: Artificial Intelligence that long ago came to view humanity as a threat to be purged. These corrupted AIs have the ability to spread their belief to other, not yet affected, AI. You are recruited to become a pilot, and are guided by Four, a sentient program designed to assist the pilots and their arsenals. Missions are available for you to prove your worth, from the Sky Union, Horizon, Zen, and Orbital. During these missions, you can salvage weapons and parts from downed enemy Arsenals. At your hanger, you can purchase additional weapons and parts as they become available, research and develop new weapons based on ones you own and bosses you have fought, and upgrade your Outer to gain skills that will affect you both inside and outside of your Arsenal.

DAEMON X MACHINA is a mech action game developed by Marvelous and First Studio and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch eShop. The game was revealed at E3 2019 and was released on 13 September 2019.
