In this video i will build the Alt12887, which is a modern drop in replacement for the Dallas DS1287 Real Time Clock which are used in a lot of vintage computers, and often they will be the cause of it not working, because the internal battery will have died due to them being between 30 and 40 years old by now.

I did not design the PCB i just ordered, sourced the components and assembled it, but it was quite easy especially considering that this was my first SMD Project.
