Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 3 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated MCU movies. Every day seems to bring some exciting new development and the biggest bombshell happened recently, where it was announced Jaime Foxx would be reprising his Electro role from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in the still untitled Spider-Man 3. That’s huge news! Reports seem to to point to Foxx playing a different version of the character, and with the announcement that Doctor Strange will also appear in the sequel, it’s pretty safe to assume that the MCU is fully working on establishing the multiverse, with Fox playing this universe’s version of Max Dillon.
This opens the door to so many opportunities for the MCU as they can now bring back different versions of characters and not have it be that confusing for audiences. And there’s one huge rumor that we hope turns out to be true, and that’s if Daredevil will make an appearance in Spidey’s sequel. This rumor is from a few months ago and at the time it was saying Charlie Cox would reprise his Daredevil role from his Netflix series and defend Peter at his trial. This seemed a little far-fetched at the time, given the mismatched tones between Daredevil’s Netflix show and the film side of the MCU, but now that we now the multiverse is playing a huge part in the movie, maybe it will be a situation where Charlie Cox returns as Daredevil, but just a different version of the character. One that’s a bit more family-friendly. Is this plausible? Let’s discuss!
