Dark Alliance - How bad is it really?
If you are reading this Description, TL;DR - wait until either this game is finished getting Patches, or that its under $20 USD. The PS2/Xbox Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance I & II are much better, play smoother, and have better AI. The best thing this game has is Great Looking Environments, Lore/Story & Cinematography.

AI, Exploits & Loot Farming -
*So pretty much, the jist of this video was not to speedrun, which I wouldve failed drastically at anyways, but to showcase how poorly the AI is, how easy it is to exploit certain enemies and loot chests as well as level design to cheese and win.
*AI is so Zombified that you can stay at range if your hero has that ability and just nuke them. Or you could just run through the entire level, hit the primary objectives and required fights until level completion.
*Exploiting Zombie AI is way too easy, kiting around objects like bon fires, pillars or other enemies, staying at the right range they get further confused because they cant decide to used ranged or melee combat.
*Loot System is glitched giving an exploit for playing on High Challenge Levels, looting, quiting restarting on HCL's again, them completing on a Low Challenge Level to gain all that cheese farmed loot that will be Ranked at the Challenge Level they dropped from.
Frame Rate issues -
*Random Drops in frames depending on abilities used by You or the Enemy AI.
*Random Background Objects like Flags/Banners at low frame rate.
Bugs & Glitches -
* Controls are clunky, boxy and unresponsive too often.
*You will come across many times when trying to do an attack or focus attack and then your character randomly does some ability you did not trigger.
*Your attacks will not go off even though you are pressing the buttons firmly. Seems there is a delayed response in how the actions are executed.
*Ladders and other interactive objects have a Line of Sight issue where you have to be alligned just right for them to activate. This is an issue for ladders in hazard areas like Ice/Frozen Spike Pools.
*Hazards and Enemy Attacks have issues stemming from poor AI where the abilities and attacks will double atack in a single hit, which can cause instant kills on the player. Elemental Hazards will instantly kill players at higher Challenge Levels due to this bug.
*Ranged/Magic Casting Enemies tend to ignore Line of Sight, hitting you through walls 50/50 of the time.
