My review of Dark Soul 3 for the PS4

Pro.

Setting - I definitely like the dark medieval setting the series is know for. It add a bit of a horror vibe to it.

Challenging - one of the things that makes the Dark Soul series (and last years BloodBore) fun is it difficulty. Its both fun and frustrating at the same time because you have to watch your stamina meter very carefully because every action like running, attacking, blocking and dodging reduce your stamina meter and even though it recharge quickly (slower if you are in a blocking stance) it can leave you open to a attack form the enemy and can get you easily killed.

Better animation - One things I’ve notices is the animation of the enemies and your characters look way better then past Dark Soul games (and Demon Soul as well). It looks as if the developers used what they learned in last year PS4 exclusive BloodBorne and apply it to Dark Soul 3.

Cons

Good but not great setting - Although I like the world Lothric (which is the setting for Dark Soul 3) I have to say (and I know not everyone will agree with me on this) its not as impressive as last year BloodBorne setting which take place in the Gothic city of Yharnam (I also like how the game gives off a Resident Evil 4 vibe to it).

Difficult for newcomers (Not to mention having some patients) - If your going into this game expecting this game to be easy then you might want to get your head examined. This is the type of game that will not only test your skills but your patients as well. To those who never played Demon/Dark Soul games (or last year BloodBorne) expect to die a lot (and I do me a lot) in this game. These are not easy games to play (and I’ve been gaming site 1988). That doesn’t make the game bad but due to the difficulty it’s not going to be everyone cup of tea,
