Dark Souls 2: Quest Guide Navlaan Assassination Without Killing
5,322Welcome to the ViiTCHA Dark Souls 2 Guide. In this video we're going to discuss how to complete the assassination questline for Royal Sorcerer Navlaan, specifically without actually killing any of the NPCs. For completing this questline you will receive the dispelling ring, a simpleton's spice, the pyromancy Forbidden Sun, the sorcery Unleash Magic, the Chaos armor set as well as access to Navlaan's merchandise.
The first mark is Laddersmith Gilligan and the Ladder Miniature is the proof of death. Gilligan can be found after the second bonfire in the Earthen Peak.after speaking with him you'll gain access to his shop where you can then purchase the Ladder Miniature. Purchase the item and bring it to Navlaan as proof, he will then give you the Dispelling Ring.
Next is Cale the Cartographer and his helm is the proof of death. Cale is initially located in the Forest of Fallen Giants, he is located in a cave after a series of planks and platforms across some destroyed rooftops. Find him in the cave and exhaust his dialogue. After exhausting his dialogue in the cave you will receive a key to the mansion in Majula near the pit, venture into the mansion's basement and kill the skeleton there. Cale will then move to the large stone map of Drangleic in the Mansion's basement. Cale will give you a full set of his armor if you speak to him after lighting all 8 of the fires on the map.
After Cale the next mark is Felkin the Outcast and his Sunset Staff is the proof of death. Felkin can be found sitting in a chair just before reaching Huntsman's Copse. There are two additional ways to receive the Sunset staff beside kill Felkin for it. Felkin will give you the staff and his entire armor set if you speak to him while you have 20 or more faith and intellect. The Sunset Staff can also be found just outside Aldia's Keep.After acquiring the staff, speak to Navlaan once again and he will give the pyromancy Forbidden Sun.
The final mark is the Shannolotte, the Emerald Herald and her feather is the proof of death. The Emerald Herald can be found all over Drangleic at various points throughout the game, but to receive the feather without killing her all you must do is find and speak to her when you first reach the Dragon Aerie. Exhaust her dialogue here and she'll give you the feather. After receiving the feather return to Navlaan to obtain your final rewards. At this point Navlaan will give you the sorcery Unleash Magic, his Choas Set and access to his merchandise in both human and undead forms.
