Dark Souls 2 Scholar of The First Sin Modded Gameplay Test with Luke Ross’s VR Mod
So…I gave in and decided to purchase this game on Steam, solely for the purpose of trying this out in VR with Luke’s VR conversion mod…and as expected,it doesn’t disappoint…in fact,no matter what I threw at it,in terms of resolution,it pretty much runs smoothly…I have no idea what kind of black magic or sorcery Ross is incorporating in his mod but it seems to be getting better and better with each new iteration…but then again, this game is a relatively old title and I’m running it on a 4090 so maybe I’m just overanalyzing things…but damn,it does run smoothly, especially on AERV2 and or 1/3 etc and last but not least, you know I just had to modify the crap out of this game with upscaled textures and modified game mechanics and oh yeah….Reshade.It took me a day or 2 to learn how to not mod the game but to figure out which mods work in VR…stay away from anything that adds a dxgi file such as the DS2Lighting Engine…I tried it and I got a black screen…I even tried to rename the dxgi.dll file to d3d11.dll and it didn’t work…adding textures and altering gameplay related mods was fine though…try adding Seeker Of Fire to make things more challenging or to change things up a bit if you want…anyhow, enjoy the video and if anyone wants to learn or know how to mod the game, let me know in the comments🙂
