Landing Seething Chaos in pvp is highly reliant on forcing an opponent to be around it. Throwing them with free aim at places an opponent will want to back up to or where you are helps limit an opponent's choice of where to go. Getting an opponent into a situation where they try to move in, get their hits, and get out before the explosion goes off is one of the better times to go for a trade. You might lose the trade but if you stunlock them at the right moment then you'll be in a better position after your boom.
