Dark Souls 3 Maxed Out on AMD R9 390 FX 8350 Driver v16.4.1
This game is really good, but it's hard as fuck. This first boss was easy, but from what I hear - it gets exponentially harder as the game progresses. As for performance, it's definitely playable. However, it runs bellow 60fps. The reason is due to my CPU, an fx 8350; it simply cannot push my 390 at full speed when running at stock. Also note, dark souls 3 isn't threaded properly. As you can see from the video, only one core seems to handle the bulk of the game. Due to the half-second refresh rate on the stats, you may not see the quarter-second cpu spikes on the yellow-osd; this causes the fps drops to the 40s. I already ordered a Cryorig h7 cpu cooler from amazon. Expected time of arrival for my order is on tuesday, on the 26th (4/24/2016). I'll be posting new benchmark videos of an overclocked 8350 + 390. Hopefully, overclocking my 8350 can bring my 390 to full gpu usage on cpu demanding games. I am aiming for a 4.5ghz overclock.
