This clip happened on a PS4, Cheat Engine such that is commonly used by script kiddies on PC was not used. From my understanding someone made a save editor specifically for DS3 and has been charging ~$50 for it. I'm not entirely aware of it's limitations but I do know that at the very least they can't toggle their cheats on/off without quitting out of the game.

I've been hesitant about uploading this clip for a while now since I wasn't quite sure how to trim it for length without losing too much of the chain of events (in the end I was only able to speed up enough of it to cut it down to 10 minutes, down from 20 minutes). The reason being that the host of embers in this clip paid some amount of money for a PS4 save editor and used it to have infinite hp, fp, and stamina as well as remove his hitbox collision register. Then he went out of bounds using an in game method that involves the giants (I won't detail it beyond that, if you want to know how it's done just look it up) for an unoriginal troll (several people were doing this gimmick about a month and a half prior to this invasion). Pretty sure his entire goal was to farm hatemail and make his first epic troll montage, since all previous efforts very clearly didn't work due to a clear lack of skill and originality.

Having tested the OOB trick myself while offline I knew that there is a somewhat limited amount of space behind that specific wall and that it is entirely possible to fall off the map and to your death if you go too far back. So my initial approach was to push him and hope it went far enough, but that obviously had several limitations.

Now painfully aware that he was also a save edited cheater my next strategy was to try and proc bleed to remove 15% of his hp at a time. Since most people up to this point didn't have actual god mode enabled and instead merely had the hp limit of 65535 (MAX_UNSIGNED_SHORT for the programmers reading this) meaning each time bleed would proc it would deal ~9830 dmg (with some extra dmg depending on the method). Of course after hitting him several times with a Notched Whip that was bleed infused without proc'ing bleed it was obvious that he removed his hit collision.

Perhaps what annoyed me the most though was the very first random invader being a complete and utter idiot attacking me despite seeing the host in the wall, given the circumstances being a mad phantom does not excuse him in any way. When this OOB gimmick was new I had to deal with several blues that would support the host despite the cheesy cheating (luckily this was the only such invasion that had a save edited cheater) but never did I have to deal with a traitorous invader. As if that wasn't enough though the next invader that replaced him was also an idiot but he did at least realize he was an idiot.

My last real goal was to either poison the host just to see if he really was immune to damage or just flat out waste his time (I wasn't streaming at the time so I didn't care about going mostly AFK and it seems like my Aldrich co-invader had the same idea). When he used purple moss to cure the poison I realized I wasn't just dealing with a cheater though, I was dealing with an absolute baby who had used his parent's credit card to buy cheats. As he was only eating the moss for one of two reasons; to mock me for playing the game legitimately or to pretend that he needed to cure the poison.

My Aldrich Co-Invader knew the optimal strategy from the start though and that was, to quote the movie WarGames (1983) "...The only winning move is not to play...", so none of the invaders did and the little baby threw so much of a hissy fit that his mom had to pull the plug to shut him up.
