The Bed of Chaos is a puzzle boss and not a straight up fight. It also happens to be very frustrating due to the high likelihood of instant death while attempting the boss. There are a number of pitfalls and the boss' wooden hands love to sweep Hollow trash into the holes around the arena.

Each retry requires the long fire filled journey seen in the beginning of the video. Fortunately, each of the three stages of the boss are saved even after quitting, so it is perfectly acceptable to fight one side of the boss, save, quit, and reload (thus starting outside of the fog door) in order to safely access the next part.
