103The Duke himself, Seathe, is our target in this episode. Seathe is unbeatable the first time you meet him (so use a Ring of Sacrifice if necessary), but can be damaged after you destroy his fancy immortality crystal in the Crystal Cave. The actual fight is very simple, just run in close and wail, then run far away when he charges up his AoE breath attack.
You can chop off his tail in order to get the fantastic Moonlight Greatsword (a staple of From Software games), but that is quite a frustrating process. If you attempt this, it is best to bring in a summoned friend or two. If you don't destroy the immortality crystal, you can still chop off the tail; do this if you're worried about killing him before the amputation is successful.
