Dark Souls Boss Guide - Part 22 - Sanctuary Guardian
113Welcome back to the Dark Souls boss guide! The release of the Artorias of the Abyss expansion means more bosses and, thusly, more boss guides.
Our first target is the Sanctuary Guardian who is an extremely aggressive chimera. I'm playing through these bosses at SL45 with only 16 STR and 12 DEX to use the halberd which is currently upgraded to Lightning +2. The only other equipment I recommend finding and upgrading is the Silver Knight Shield - my favorite shield in the game.
The difficulty curve on the bosses in the DLC is quite good but steep, at least in my opinion, and all of them have more moves and and are generally more aggressive than any of the bosses in the main game with the exception of Gwyn.
As usual from the other boss guides, using pyromancy, sorcery, Black Knight weapons, and/or summoned phantoms will make the fight much easier by lowering the margin of error of mistakes you can make, but this video will show you how to solo the boss with a relatively low level and decent (but not the best) equipment.
