The struggle was...fun.

I started the game and decided "I want the Iato", and at near base level went the back way to Blighttown and what resulted was one of the most interesting journeys I've had in thousands of hours in Souls.

Also of note, the last bit of damage I took wasn't from the dog..it was phantom fall damage that occurs sometimes (such as when walking down the buttresses of Anor Londo that sometimes results in "fall damage" for no reason).
