Darksiders Warmastered – Getting Started

With the tutorial over and out of the way now our world opens up a little more. Past the Stone Guardian make your way through the library and be careful of the larger enemies that look like they’re on fire. At low health, they will attempt to explode dealing massive damage to you at this level. Dodge away and keep your distance if possible.

Once you leave the library you’ll see the main ‘hub’ of Darksiders. The Scalding Gallow, you’ll return here after each boss fight to turn in items to an NPC. Head up to the shrine looking area in the center and solve the puzzle to meet him. He will explain that he requires the hearts of four of the “chosen” gathering these hearts will make up the vast majority of this first game.

There is another Vulgrim location to find here and a piece of the Abyssal Armour set that you can obtain once you unlock the ability to glide from the NPC. Fast forward to about 16:00 on the video to find the location.

Use your newfound Shadowflight ability to make your way towards the destroyed subway cars to the left as you leave the NPC’s area and we’ll begin our hunt for the first of these hearts.
