My Description:

This Let's Play of "Ys: The Oath in Felghana" is on Nightmare difficulty, albeit with higher levels and/or equipment than time attack conditions. Unlike previous Ys let's plays, I voiced over successful boss attempts because of the concentration required to win, meaning I can't come up with commentary on the fly. The videos will also show my first attempt for every boss, just to show how much I improved from my first attempt to my successful attempt.

When redheaded thrill-seeker Adol Christin and his eternal blue-haired companion Dogi make an unannounced visit to Dogi's homeland of Felghana after an eight-year absence, it quickly becomes apparent that things have changed dramatically. Hordes of violent monsters roam the outskirts of town, a long-dormant volcano has suddenly sprung back to life and the new lord of the land has begun mercilessly and inexplicably extorting money from its long-suffering citizens. After talking with everyone in town, you can head outside to find new monsters, which is good because the next boss guards the entrance to the final dungeon. Go to the docks, where Dogi will take you to Genos Island. Sadly, he collapses from his stab wound and cannot help with the rest of the dungeon.

At the entrance, you'll meet Sister Nell, who turns out to be Dularn. Despite her misgivings about her actions, she still fights you out of loyalty to her insane master.

Dularn's projectiles are even faster, making it tempting to use Earth Magic like me. Unfortunately, fire magic is more effective against her, so this battle takes longer when playing defensively. She will also use clones during her vulnerable phase and use laser drones at low HP.
