Movie Details:
Black Belt Magazine spoke with John Furia Jr., the series' story director, in May 1973 to learn more about his opinions on the character. He said, "Basically, the story is one of contrast." It's about a man of love and peace who lives in the 1800s in the American West, a dangerous time and place. It's a lot like the mood now. Even though we talk a lot about love and peace, these are dangerous times.
"Everyone is really interested in the series' point of view." Caine tries to stay away from violence as much as possible. When he does get involved, it's not made to look cool. Instead, it is shown to be sad and not very interesting.
"The story is also about the inner peace that comes from being in touch with your own senses, your own self, and, ideally, your whole universe. To put it another way, being one with the universe, one with nature." It's very relevant to today.
There are people who are trying to live in communes these days. They want to get away from all the chaos, stress, and violence in modern life. They feel like they have lost their identity. There are a lot of similarities between Cain and them.
