Day 6 Accepting Every DoorDash Order 🚗 Tip Throttling Proof & $160 in 6 Hours Gig Work Grind
Day 6 of my DoorDash Accept Everything Challenge is done ✅ — and it was a grind! In this video, I take you through every single order I accepted today, the miles, the base pay, the tips, and the wait times. From 8.8 mile Denny’s orders to long Burger King & coffee stand waits, I pushed through it all in the blazing 91° heat.
But this video isn’t just about the deliveries — I also talk about something wild I’ve been noticing lately: DoorDash tip throttling. When I ordered from DoorDash myself, the app wouldn’t let me tip more than their highest suggested tip amount — and it kept giving me an error when I tried to tip extra. I’ve got proof and screenshots showing how it happened, and I’m starting to think DoorDash is doing this intentionally to keep driver pay around 50% base pay, 50% tips.

P.S. I forgot to show it in the video, but my current acceptance rate it 95% / getting close to 100% with a perfect 5.0 star rating thus far even after doing many $0 tip orders which are usually the ones that give the worst ratings, 100% completion rate. 5,268 total shopping deliveries and 13,644 total doordash deliveries.
