Day-Night Cycles In Souls Games
19When I think of day-night cycles in From Software’s Soulsborne saga, Elden Ring is the first one that comes to mind. It’s a traditional game mechanic that makes perfect sense in the open world. But it’s not the first time the studio tried something like that.
Bloodborne and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice also include day-night cycles, just not in the traditional sense. Then there’s Elden Right Nightreign, which turns the whole concept on its head. This video examines the evolution of the mechanic in the From Software catalogue.
Elden Ring Nightreign is the most current game featured in the video, and you can play it on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The same goes for Sekiro and Elden Ring, but Bloodborne is still a native PlayStation 4 exclusive.
